Summer is a great time to make reading progress with less fatigue and stress on your child. Dyslexia Therapy can be provided, 2-4 times per week to help your child close their reading gaps and become confident readers.

Take Flight: A Comprehensive Intervention for Students with Dyslexia is a reading and spelling curriculum written by the Center for Dyslexia at Texas Scottish Rite for Children. Take Flight contains the five components of effective reading instruction: Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Fluency, Vocabulary, and Reading Comprehension. A student does not need a diagnosis to receive these services.
Individual, 45-minute sessions, 2 to 4 times per week.
Taught by a CALT or CALT in training.
One-on-one tutoring with a reading teacher. These sessions are individualized based on assessment data and designed to meet the unique needs of the student, ages 5-adult. Increase skills in phonemic awareness, alphabet knowledge, phonics, spelling, reading comprehension, vocabulary and/or multisyllabic and derivative word reading/spelling.
Individual, 45-minute sessions, 1 to 2 times per week.
Taught by a certified teacher.
Students will use multisensory techniques to learn the alphabet, and increase their skills in: phonemic awareness, letter formation, spelling and beginning reading skills. UFLI Foundations is an explicit and systematic phonics program based on the Science of Reading.
Small Groups
3-8 students, 60-min, 1x/week. Recommended to be paired with Individualized Reading Tutoring, 1x/week. Taught by a certified teacher or CALT; some are co-taught by 2 teachers.
Designed for the reader who has basic reading skills but struggles with long vowel patterns, diphthongs, r-controlled patterns, affixes, and multisyllabic words. Students will learn Syllable Types, the power of accent, and how to spell and read words with suffixes, as well as, vocabulary and comprehension.

3-8 students, 60-min, 1x/week. Recommended to be paired with Individualized Reading Tutoring, 1x/week. Taught by a certified teacher or CALT; some are co-taught by 2 teachers.
